Tattenhall Park Village Projects
When Lady Plowden first opened our school in 1970, she said that it was important that Tattenhall Park Primary was 'at the heart of the community'. We love working with community groups and members of our village family and are always keen for members of the community to reach out for opportunities to work with us.
Visiting Gifford Lea
We are enjoying working with the residents of Gifford Lea. They have supported us with sewing, visited our Pre School to play with our Squirrels and we have even held a mini sports day for the residents and Pre School! Gifford Lea have also supported our recent village mural project with 'Dave Draws'.

Keeping our village roads safe

Our 'Mini Cops' have been working with Rachel McKevitt, our local PCSO to keep the roads around school safe. The school have their own tickets to place on cars parked on yellow lines and we have also used speed guns to monitor the speed of the traffic passing school. The Mini Cops uniform look super smart and they have had a really positive impact on traffic safety around school.
VE Day and Remembrance Sunday
This year, our Year 5 marked VE Day with members of the village. The children learn about the impact of the first and second world war during their history lessons - you can find out all about this in our film - 'Our Village, Our Future'.

The Village Show 2025
For the past two years, we have held a competition to design the front of the Village Show magazine and lots of our pupils have taken part.

Celebrating Christmas with our village family
It is very special to be able to hold our carol service at Christmas with our families in St Albans Church every Christmas. We also enjoy singing at at the Christmas Tractor Run event - it is spectacular to see so many decorated tractors zooming through the village. This year, we held a community craft event to prepare willow lanterns for the village advent trail. Our special school animals from the school 'Spinney Tales' created a nativity scene in the school window for Day 23 of the trail.

The Sandstone Ridge Project
We recently took part in a project with the Sandstone Ridge, they are creating videos to show the historical features of the Sandstone Ridge and wanted our feedback.

Village Art Projects
We have created a mural to celebrate the coronation in 2023. You can spot this on the wall of Sandy Bears Nursery.
The Tattenhall Gardening Society also sponsored a local artist to work with the school on a giant wall hanging for the village show to celebrate all the wildlife in the village.
