Reception Acorns 2022 - 2023

Miss Rodgers

Welcome to Acorns!

Welcome to Tattenhall Park Primary School. We are very happy to welcome you to our school community. We are very excied to get to know your children and learn lots of new things. We have met lots of new friends and are keen to get to know all of our families.

You can find our class 'autumn newsletter' at the bottom of this class page. We are busy getting to know each other focusing on 'kindness' and 'friendship'. We will also be talking about our 'Homes and Families' too.

Reception have started Read Write Inc phonics. Reading books / phonics sounds and little games will be sent home or uploaded to Tapestry on a Wednesday. It is important that the reading books that are sent home, match your child's phonic knowledge. Miss Rodgers will be setting up an opportunity to talk more in depth with families about what phonics is and what reading/writing looks like in Reception and how you can support this at home. Date to follow.

Please ensure that you keep up to date with 'memos' and 'activities' posted on Tapestry. Here, you will be able to see 'homework' and news. Observations will also be posted so that you can see what we have been up to at school.

Tapestry Tuesday

Share what you have been getting up to at home. We will use this as way to discuss what we have been getting up to. It is also a great way for the children to explore and celebrate the similarities and differences that we have within the classroom.
