Reception Acorns 2023 - 2024

Miss Turner

Welcome to Acorns!

Welcome to Tattenhall Park Primary School. We are very happy to welcome you to our school community. We are very excied to get to know your children and learn lots of new things. We have met lots of new friends and are keen to get to know all of our families.

Curriculum

Please find this term's Curriculum Map attached below. Our topic is 'Watch us grow!'. We use Tapestry to capture moments in our learning. Observations will be posted on Tapestry so that you can see what we have been up to at school.

Communication

We will use Tapestry to send out any messages regarding important dates, trips etc.  I will also send home a weekly newsletter to inform you about our learning from the week and anything you can do at home to support this learning further. The weekly newsletter will be stuck in your child's homework book.

Early Reading

We change the children's books every Tuesday and Friday. Please write in your child's yellow reading record when they have read at home.

P.E

P.E lessons will be every Thursday. Please send the children into school in their uniforms and they will get changed at school. We will send the children home in their P.E kits. Thursday mornings is my preparation time so the class will be covered by Mrs Edwards, Mrs Mason and Mr Hayes (Sports Coach).

Tapestry Tuesday

Share what you have been getting up to at home. We will use this as way to discuss what we have been getting up to. It is also a great way for the children to explore and celebrate the similarities and differences that we have within the classroom.
