The email sent to all parents earlier does not seem to have worked and I think that the service is down. The text service is also not working. It has probably crashed also. Therefore please see the information below. Please also scroll down for the letter.

Title: Urgent Communication- please read

Subject: Closure of school with immediate effect

Dear Parents and Carers

Following an eleventh hour change of plan, you will be aware from the media that it has been announced this evening at 8pm that schools are to remain closed to all but essential workers and vulnerable children. As you can imagine, the late announcement will make it impossible to open tomorrow for Covid Care. This will take a minimum of 24 hours to get set up. But please rest assured we will open up at the very first opportunity and the staff will prepare work for home learning which they will upload to school spider, as well as prepare physical packs. More details will follow tomorrow. The Governing Board have agreed for the school to remain closed tomorrow to enable us to put these plans in place.

It is with a very heavy heart that for the second time within 12 months I must ask you to consider if you are eligible for child care. The latest guidance is: (Updated 31 December 2020)

Critical workers and vulnerable children who can access schools or educational settings - GOV.UK

This guidance has been updated to include information about the return to school and college in January, and includes the addition of those whose work is critical to EU Transition to the list of ...

Please find attached a letter for all parents who believe that they are eligible for Covid Care. Within the letter is a link to a Survey Monkey which I  ask that you complete. Please read the guidance given. The eligibility criteria has changed since the last school closure.

As with the first school closure, please keep your children at home if you are at home- they will be safest there. The infection rates are arguably higher now than they were in March. Please only opt to use this service if you believe you qualify and have no alternative and to coincide with your shifts. We are also clarifying arrangements for Nursery children as soon as we are able.

I apologise for the late time I am sending this but if you are able to complete the survey as soon as possible (ideally by 10am tomorrow morning), we would be really grateful. We will analyse the results tomorrow and contact families during the course of the day. I will endeavour to send out a Doodle Poll for families to complete so we know what the uptake will be each week.

Many thanks for your patience and support at this incredibly challenging time.

Stay safe

Jo Hawkins

Welcome to Tattenhall Park Primary School website.

Tattenhall Park Primary has undergone an exciting development phase as we prepare to expand from  a 1 form to 1.5 form entry. This has involved significant works reorganising the internal layout of the school as well as building a bespoke Early Years department. If you are looking to move to Tattenhall or are considering the setting for your child starting school, we are happy to give you a tour and also discuss what we can offer you at our school.

Tattenhall Park Primary is a friendly and welcoming primary school, where the children are at the heart of all we do. Our school is set in parkland near to the centre of the beautiful village of Tattenhall. We aim to deliver a contemporary education, in our caring, friendly and family-oriented village school, where every child feels safe and valued.

I’d like to invite you to take a look around the website and then contact school if you need any further information or would like to arrange a visit. Please do not hesitate to ask if you require a paper copy of any of the information which is published to our website.

We look forward to welcoming you to our school, so that you can see for yourself what a special place Tattenhall is.
